OTT Pocket - APP UI Design, Web Design and Graphic Design

Problem / Challenge
This was my first major project involving full website design, alongside mobile app UI/UX work. The challenge was to design both platforms for a new product launch, while meeting the needs of diverse users. Initially, I learned that web and mobile cannot always share the exact same design due to differences in user behaviors, layouts, and interaction patterns.

Research & Insights
Analyzed both desktop and mobile usage scenarios, identifying how content hierarchy, navigation, and touch interactions differ across devices. This insight shaped my approach—not only for this project but for all subsequent multi-platform designs, where I now create separate drafts for web and mobile.

Ideation
Developed layout strategies that maximized clarity and usability on each platform. For desktop, I emphasized broader visual spreads and detailed information display. For mobile, I prioritized simplified navigation, larger tap targets, and condensed content blocks.

Design & Prototyping
Created two complete sets of designs—one for web and one for mobile—ensuring each was optimized for its platform’s unique constraints and user expectations. Built wireframes and high-fidelity mockups in Figma, then collaborated with the dev team for precise implementation.

Collaboration & Handoff
Worked closely with developers to ensure smooth integration of designs into both platforms. Provided platform-specific design specs, ensuring consistent brand identity while maintaining platform-appropriate UI patterns.

Outcome / Impact
The project successfully launched both a desktop website and mobile app with platform-tailored designs. This experience marked a turning point in my design methodology, influencing all future projects by reinforcing the importance of separate design approaches for different devices—a practice that has since improved usability and design quality across my work.
