YG Visual Arts - Web Design

Problem / Challenge
The client, a newly established creative company, wanted a homepage that would immediately engage visitors and strengthen the brand’s visual identity. The goal was to break the barrier between the brand and the audience right at first entry.

Research & Insights
From conversations with the client and quick market observation, I identified that static landing pages often fail to hold attention. Studies and examples showed that even small micro-interactions can significantly increase engagement and curiosity, making visitors more willing to explore.

Ideation
Explored interactive entry concepts such as hover-triggered animations, click-based visual shifts, and playful micro-interactions. The chosen approach would need to be subtle enough not to distract, yet noticeable enough to spark user interest.

Design & Prototyping
Developed a simple interaction where visitors’ hover or click triggers a minimal animation on the homepage hero element. The concept was prototyped in Figma and implemented using lightweight animation code to ensure smooth performance without affecting load speed.

Testing & Iteration
Conducted quick user testing with a small group to ensure the animation felt natural and inviting. Adjusted animation timing and trigger sensitivity based on feedback to make the interaction intuitive and engaging.

Outcome / Impact
The homepage micro-interaction successfully encouraged first-time visitors to engage with the site instantly, increasing time on page and creating a stronger emotional connection with the brand. This subtle yet strategic design choice helped establish the company’s creative personality from the very first second.
